Yesterday was not a particularly happy day with the women in Martyland.
- I had one of my favorites return home far from my time zone. I enjoyed her being near.
- I said a sad, but firm goodbye to another. It was time.
- I was less then utterly kind with one. That patience thing.
- One of my loves was distraught due to a family member’s sickness.
- A woman I treasure has her own serious health issues. Though she will be fine, I lament her illness.
- Another favorite had a parent pass.
A time for reflection.
the title being my favorite part

Being human is not always a happy state. Taking time, making time for reflection can be uncomfortable, but I find it imperative for any sort of hope of balance.

And yet you treasured them all – Good for you, Marty! Enjoy your time of reflection. You must be comfortable in the dark to appreciate time of light.

Thank you! I actually went to your page at my earliest convenience to see if you were still at it. I’m happy to see you are.

Oh it’s much too soon to come to conclusions, Rachel! As you have read, I like to ruminate for decades. I’m a big fan of Chou En-Lai’s (reputed) thoughts on the French Revolution http://www.historytoday.com/blog/news-blog/dean-nicholas/zhou-enlais-famous-saying-debunked

comparing your relationship to a dead chinese guy and the french revolution is never a good sign.

Oh Rachel, that’s where my love of history and your generation’s need for instantaneous feedback diverge

I’m so embarrassed, I understand now. Her parent passed away. I was reading it incorrectly. So sorry for your friend’s loss.
